Indigenous food garden at Randwick Stables Community Garden

Local Noongar woman Jacinta Taylor (JC) has selected several endemic edible native plants to start our Indigenous food garden. We'd like to invite volunteers of all ages and fitness levels to come along for an afternoon of sharing knowledge, soil preparation, planting and watering. The site is open and accessible to the public and the garden will be maintained as both an education and food resource.

JC has grown up in Perth, Western Australia and is exploring artistic ways to connect culture and traditional knowledge. Her aim is to preserve & spread Noongar language & culture through the beauty of this boodjar (country). JC specializes in nature photography. The cover image for this event is one of hers, and you can see more of her beautiful work here: https://www.facebook.com/jcphotographyphoto/

Love this! Just checking whether this is a kid friendly event ? I have a 7yr and 9yr old whom I'd love to bring along.

Cheers!
